The Jack Lalanne Juicer Range
Making juice a daily part of your life is easy once you become enthused wth the amazing taste sensations and the health benefits of pumping your body full of all the fresh nutrients. There is a very wide range of juicers to choose from in terms of cost and function, and of course it is difficult to pick one that is right for you. Some are cheap and flimsy and others are very high end and you will see many TV ads for different juicers as well as a large selection online.
The Jack Lalane Juicer range aims to have a model for everyone. But how good are they? If you ever witnessed sprightly old Jack on his TV ad (RIP), you will no doubt have been impressed with both his juicers and his vitality! Well the truth is these machines measure up very well in general, with good performance and reasonable durability reported, this applies across the whole range which is built on the same design.
There are two minor negative points to this brand of juicer and to be honest every juicer has something not quite perfect, even the $300 ones ! Firstly the Jacks can jam up a little. To avoid this ensure the ingredients are chopped slightly smaller than they recommend and do not cram too much in the chute at once. If it does jam, use a wooden or plastic spoon to free up the blockage, this is not really a problem as long as you are aware of it. Secondly, unless budget is really tight, do pick a higher end model that has a metal mesh which is far more durable – plastic wont last that long ….
The basic Power Juicer Classic –
The basic Jack Lalanne juicer had standard high quality stainless steel blades used on all Jacks juicers including a powerful 3600rpm motor. The motor has a lifetime warranty which indicates the confidence they have in their products. The access chute is wide and long enough to take quite a lot of fruit and vegetables ( but dont overstuff because of jamming) , plus a large pulp bin which will hold a lot of waste.
The Power Juicer Express –
This is a souped up version of the Classic model, with a drip free spout and more compact design for a smaller kitchen.
The Power Juicer Deluxe –
This is a stainless steel version of the Power Juicer express. People with a stainless steel theme will appreciate this model blends in well in their kitchen.
The Power Juicer Pro –
This is a Power Juicer Deluxe with a metal mesh filter, for extra durability. A super functional, smart and durable design.
Power Juicer Elite –
As the name suggests, this is the high end model. It is the Power Juicer Pro, stainless steel compact body and mesh with added black accents and looks very stylish as well as being very efficient. It also includes a unique soy technology which you can only get with this particular model.
Summary – The Jack Lalanne juicer range have only slight differences and the price obviously increases with each model enhancement. The very best juicer experience is obviously the Elite model. However, an excellent standard is produced by the basic model. All in all you can not really be disappointed with any of these machines. High power, low noise, easy clean up, minimal preparation of ingredients and a high juice extraction percentage. It is also claimed that you can extract up to 30% more juice than similar competing models. For this price range, which is middle to low, depending on the model, it is a good buy.
